Pitsidia Crete
Pitsidia is a very old and traditional village in the south of Crete. Surrounded by olive-trees it affords lovely views of the countryside and the Ida mountains, with its highest mountain (2456m) of the isle. Till the middle of the season you can combine swimming in the crystal blue sea with the view to snow-covered mountains.
This typical Cretan farming village with its small restaurants and old houses has kept its original character and is relatively unspoilt by tourismt. In the neighbouring villages Mires (marktet every saturday) and Matala (famouse for its caves) you will find all the necessary amenities such as supermarkets, bars, restaurants and in Mires post office, police station. hospital, pharmacies and the major banks.
Thats why this place is ideal for relaxing holidays especially for families, without missing the possibility of fun and nearby attractions.
